Tenants are always anxious to hear what happens to their security deposit at the end of the lease. Please read more about the common questions regarding security deposit law in Indiana.
Specifically a property manager is allowed 45 days from the end of the lease to provide a former tenant with a settlement statement. This statement will reflect the security deposit and any deductions. Any or all of the deposit being returned will be submitted with this statement.
Walk through inspections with the tenant at move-out are also not required.
